Politicians, students, colleagues. Your sister, your daughter.
That is sexual abuse. And tech companies make money from it.
From 2nd December 2026, these apps are banned in the EU. Now the ban has to be enforced.
New research found sexualised deepfakes of 147 politicians in Europe. 138 of them are women. One in 14 women MPs is affected. For men, it is one in 500. If it happens to them, it can happen to anyone.
It happened to me, Lena Schilling, Member of the European Parliament for the Greens/EFA group.
Right now, victims are on their own: finding every link, reporting every image, starting over when new ones appear. That has to stop on the 2nd of December.
Enforce the ban from day one. Every EU country needs authorities ready to act on 2nd December.
Hold Big Tech accountable. Platforms that spread these images or profit from these apps must face consequences. The EU investigation into X and Grok has been open since January. We want results.
Make it a crime everywhere. Every EU country must criminalise sexual deepfakes, before the 2027 deadline.
