Fur Free Europe: time to deliver
Three years ago, more than 1.5 million Europeans called for a full EU-wide ban on fur farming. Send the European Commission an email now and demand action.
In an official European Citizens’ Initiative in 2023, more than 1.5 million European citizens signed a call for a Fur Free Europe. They asked the European Commission for a full ban on fur farming and farmed fur products from the European market. They now have to officially respond to this.
Although scientific evidence clearly shows that fur farming causes severe animal suffering that cannot be solved with slightly improved standards or cage conditions, the European Commission is considering this as the solution.
Replacing a full ban on fur farming with weaker welfare measures would ignore both citizens’ democratic demands and scientific recommendations.
That is why we want to show to these policy makers that:
democracy matters
science matters
animal welfare matters
citizens deserve to be listened to
