Dear Mr Macron and Mr Scholz, please ban glyphosate (and protect our nature)

The first vote to extend the use of nature killer glyphosate for 10 years did not pass - and that is a great win. But we expect another vote soon.

In order to stop the use of glyphosate, we need Emmanuel Macron and Olaf Scholz, the two EU leaders that can make a difference in this vote, to keep their promise.

🇫🇷 Emmanuel Macron, président de la République française, voted in 2017 to ban the use of glyphosate. In France 70.5 % of the citizens do not want glyphosate renewed.
🇩🇪 Olaf Scholz, Bundeskanzler der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, promised in 2021 in his coalition agreement with liberals and Greens to ban glyphosate. In Germany 68.3 % of the citizens don’t want glyphosate renewed.

Glyphosate, the acting agent in Roundup, produced by Bayer-Monsanto, is a pesticide not only used in farming, but also in urban areas. And we know it is devastating for biodiversity: it just kills (almost) everything.

We don’t need glyphosate for productive farming, nor for weed control. Glyphosate should be banned.
