Right now, politicians are negotiating a new EU law to better protect and restore nature. This law is long overdue, because the abundance and diversity of wildlife in the EU is shrinking at an alarming rate. But some politicians don’t want this new EU law. They are falsely claiming it will make it harder for farmers, foresters and fishers to make a living. The truth is, without healthy ecosystems, these sectors cannot exist.
