Stop PFAS now: Protect our wine

Recent research shows that wine from 10 EU countries, including from Italy, contains toxic particles coming from PFAS pesticides.

How is it still possible that right wing politicians are still protecting big agroindustry while they destroy our wine culture? They’re endangering our health, our nature and our farmers. Entire local economies rely heavily on wine production. What would happen if their wine becomes unsellable?

Whether you prefer a merlot or a chardonnay, we can all agree that wine is a unique part of our European heritage.

If we want to protect our communities, we need to protect our wine. Sign our petition now.

The new European Commission must act now by:

  1. Banning the use of PFAS in Europe in all products as soon as possible.
  2. Making chemical companies pay for the clean-up costs of PFAS pollution.
  3. Setting much stricter standards for PFAS in surface and drinking water.

It is important to make our voices heard. The chemical industry wants to continue business as usual. And they are a formidable opponent: the chemical sector is one of the biggest spenders on lobbyists in Europe. But together we can beat them.
